For our last collaboration, we took our classic 13.75oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge and reworked it with slubby yarns, giving one of our most popular fabrics a completely different texture and character. After seeing how well it was received, we decided to revisit the idea, this time in black.
The Sashiko Weave Work Shirt is made from a rare Japanese sashiko fabric dyed with real indigo. Traditionally associated with reinforcement and repair, sashiko weaving creates a heavily textured surface that is both durable and visually distinctive.
The indigo-dyed fabric is designed to fade with wash and wear, gradually revealing contrast and character over time. Due to the complexity of the weave and dye process, this fabric is produced in limited quantities, making it a special and hard-to-find material.
