To further enrich the fabric's tone, the cotton fibers undergo an iron mordant treatment—a traditional process where fibers are soaked in an iron-rich solution that reacts with the cotton's natural pigments. This process intensifies and darkens the fabric's color, transforming it into a deep, earthy brown with rich dimension and character.
